4GB - Too much RAM???

Ian Griffiths has an interesting post about PC architecture, and more specifically, physical memory...

The cost of 4GB of memory is sufficiently low now that, what with Virtual PC and VMWare being all the rage, it seems positively foolish not to load up a new PC with as much RAM as it will hold. But if you do this, there's a good chance you'll hit a problem. It's a new variant of a very old nemesis...”
