The UIP block handles the infamous issue of page caching leading to “invalid” state that we all know and love. For example, you have a GridView or any other list of data that allows you to delete a record. You deleted the record, click the back button on the browser, click delete again, and then...Doh!. You might try meta tags, or..
<%@ OutputCache location="none" %>
Which sorta works...if you don't mind the ugly “this page has expired” page that shows up for your users. If you don't want to mess with the UIP block, you might consider reading this gem by Dino Esposito. I'm going to try it out myself and see how it goes. Stay tuned.
