There's been a buzz lately about Scrum in the blogsphere. My knee-jerk reaction is that it sounds pretty promising. I remember working at a UPS hub years ago, we used to have pre-work communication meetings (PCMs) that lasted 15 minutes and set the pace for the whole night. Interestingly, a Scrum practice is having daily status meetings. A quick discussion of knowing who is doing what, discussing problems, etc is important; so is having an iterative approach when requirements are about as clear as mud and ever-changing. The whole world is going agile, maybe we'll all go with TDD as well. It's not like we don't have the tools.
